About the role

Location: The Griffin Centre, Canberra City

Employment Status: Full-time (or part-time hours considered)

MIEACT is seeking an experienced Lived Experience Volunteer Manager to join their passionate team based in Canberra. Reporting to the Director of Lived Experience and Innovation, you will be responsible for the recruitment, training, support, and retention of a diverse group of MIEACT Volunteer Educators.

To be considered for this role, you will possess tertiary qualifications and have significant demonstrated experience in volunteer management.

As a highly motivated self-starter with excellent organisational and time-management skills, you will work well under pressure and be able to take the initiative in enhancing community awareness and growing and coordinating volunteer participation in the delivery of MIEACT’s impactful mental health programs. Importantly, you’ll possess excellent negotiation and relationship management skills and will be able to work collaboratively with a wide range of volunteers and other key stakeholders.

Ideally you will have a solid understanding of working or engaging with vulnerable people, including people with lived experience.
